Message from the Chief

On behalf of the men and women of the Atlantic City Police Division I am pleased to welcome you to our web site.

As we enter the 21st century law enforcement is presented with a myriad of challenges and opportunities. Utilizing a philosophy of community policing and a continuing commitment to excellence and service our agency is eager to accept these challenges and explore the opportunities. To date, community policing has presented the community an opportunity to take an active part in the deployment and utilization of the division’s assets. I eagerly solicit additional suggestions and observations on how to improve our level of service and expand the interaction between the police and the community. The partnership that develops is a critical element in any successful law enforcement agency.

We are committed to growth and innovation. That growth may be the multi-year task of accreditation through CALEA or the daily task of resolving quality of life issues in the neighborhoods. New ways of doing old things is the wave of the future. Business world- wide is doing more with less by downsizing and finding innovative ways of cooperation. Law enforcement can do no less. NASA is not alone in seeking ways to do things quicker, cheaper and faster.
