Notice Abstract
|
The City of Atlantic City is an entitlement community under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Act Programs. The Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, requires each entitlement community to “affirmatively further fair housing.” To accomplish this, entitlement communities must conduct a “Fair Housing Analysis.” The goal of the Fair Housing Analysis is to identify any impediments to fair housing choice. The results of the analysis are to be used to develop a Fair Housing Plan that includes strategies designed to alleviate the impediments identified.
The City is updating its 2008 Fair Housing Plan but need your assistance. This survey will assist the City of Atlantic City in effort to outreach to and involve Residents, as well as groups and organizations that represent the special populations, in updating the Fair Housing Plan for 2011. The final Fair Housing Plan will be made available on the City’s website.
